WHAT IS A WAX MELT?
A Wax melt is a scented piece of wax without a wick, which fills your home with fragrance.
They come in different shapes and sizes.
A wax melt can give off a slight scent when cold however, they are designed to be slowly warmed using a wax burner.
A wax burner can be electric while others use a tea light as the heating source.
ARE THERE ANY SAFETY TIPS?
Always use a burner designed for wax melts.
Never use an oil burner unless stated it can be used for wax melts.
Check your burner regularly for hairline cracks or chips before use.
Never use burners with cracks or chips as this can be a fire hazard.
Use only one regular sized unscented tealight in your burner.
Never add water.
Keep out of reach of children and pets at all times.
Electric burners are recommended to reduce risks, but still never keep them unattended.
Never use a higher watt bulb in your electric burner, always use the same watt which is provided or what is stated.
Never leave a lit tealight unattended.
Keep you wax burner in sight at all times.
Always pay attention to the safety information on the packaging.
Always keep your burner on a stable and heatproof surface away from fire hazards.
Remove all packaging before placing wax in your burner.
Use the right amount of wax for the size of your wax burner.
Do not overfill.
Do not attempt to move your wax burner while there is hot wax in it or a tea light.
